New sales head for Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Deira Creek

The Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Deira Creek has appointed Sona Rawal as the hotel’s new director of sales.

Rawal has been a wonder of the marketing and sales field for more than 15 years, having worked in many highly reputable hospitality properties around the globe.

Prior to her new post, Rawal was the director of sales at JW Marriott Dubai, where she handled sales and marketing.

Rawal started her career as a trainee in Maurya Sheraton Hotels and Towers (Welcome Group) India in 1997. After working in India for almost two years, she moved to Dubai in 1999 and started work as a member of the restaurant reservation sales team in Burj Al Arab. During her tenure in Dubai, Rawal worked for many different hospitality properties.

In 2006, Rawal moved to Canada, where she was a member of the spa sales team of Park Hyatt, achieving noticeable recognition for her contribution.

Rawal graduated from Delhi University before pursuing a course in hotel management and technology at The Institute of Hotel Management (Delhi).

Over the years, she has been awarded various honours for her work in the hospitality sector, including The Arabian Travel Awards recipient for Most Enterprising Sales & Marketing Hospitality Professional of 2017, and the Manager of the Quarter and Manager of the Year at JW Marriott Dubai in 2012 and 2016.

At Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Deira Creek, Rawal will manage a group of strategies for leisure and the corporate market. She will also manage the budget setting of the hotel. She plans to come up with exceptional marketing and sales strategies that will help in the development of the hotel. - TradeArabia News Service
