UAE waives visa fee for children for two months

Tourists to the UAE can now obtain a visa without paying any fees for children under the age of 18 years during the summer period from July 15 to September 15 of each year.

The UAE Cabinet has approved a decision to exempt the accompanying dependents of foreign tourists under the age of 18 from visa fees during the two months, said a Wam news agency report.

The Cabinet’s decision reflects the UAE's position in the global tourism sector as a prime destination attracting visitors and families from all over the world, it said.

The number of passengers travelling through the country's airports reached 32.8 million passengers during the first quarter of this year.

The decision of the Cabinet goes in line with the growth of the tourism sector in the country following the exemption of transit tourists from visa fees for the first 48 hours.
