HMH to open new eco-conscious hotel in Dubai

Hospitality Management Holding (HMH) announced at the Arabian Travel Market that it has signed a management agreement for an environmentally responsible hotel in the UAE under its hotel brand, Ecos Hotels.

On this occasion, Brett Schafer, chief executive officer of Faisal Holding (which owns HMH together with Manafa) said: “With the intent of developing a strong pipeline in the hospitality sector we look forward to more opportunities to strengthen our existing brands as we achieve greater recognition in the Middle East & North African markets. The new property being developed in the UAE will be the first Ecos in our portfolio, marking the debut of our eco-conscious practices in the hospitality sector. We are confident that with HMH’s hospitality expertise, the new Ecos will make for a competitive new attraction and prove to be a very important asset for HMH and the communities in which we operate.”

Ecos Hotels is a trendy and futuristic brand that brings together sound ecological practices signifying efficiency, creativity and simplicity, combined with a unique design and technology, allowing it to offer a new perspective in the hotel sector. The 320-key Ecos Hotel will be located in Al Furjan, Dubai and is due to open before 2020 in preparation for the Expo 2020.

In keeping with HMH’s commitment to excellence, Ecos Hotel will bring the portfolio of HMH to 18 managed hotels, a major milestone in HMH’s strategy to maintain its competitive edge as the largest operator in the region in its specialised segment.
