'World’s greatest living explorer' to address AHIC participants

The Arabian Hotel Investment Conference (AHIC) will welcome the legendary Sir Ranulph Fiennes on April 19 as the intrepid explorer completes the stellar line-up of speakers at the annual gathering for the world’s hospitality investment community.

Described by the Guinness Book of Records as the “World’s Greatest Living Explorer”, Sir Ranulph is famous for being the first person to reach both the North and South Poles by foot and for completing seven marathons on seven continents (including Antarctica) in seven days – soon after receiving emergency heart surgery. He is also the oldest Briton to conquer Mount Everest, having made it to the summit at the age of 65.

With teamwork, determination, patience, discipline and creative thinking critical in both expeditions and business alike, his keynote speech is set to give the 700+ hotel investors, developers, financiers, and C-level hotel executives in attendance a unique perspective on the parallels of surviving the challenges of an expedition in nature and surviving the business world.

Held in partnership with Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA), the 14th edition of AHIC takes place from April 17-19 at the purpose-built AHIC Village in the grounds of the Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, and promises to address the critical issues of innovation, leadership, destination development and industry disruptors amid the macroeconomic outlook from the investors’ perspective. - TradeArabia News Service
