Mazagan Beach Resort wins three WTA awards

Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort, a leading tourism resort in Morocco, was recognised in three categories at the 22nd World Travel Awards (WTA) held at Kempinsky Seychelles resort last month.

Mazagan was named Africa’s Leading Mice Hotel and Morocco’s Leading Mice. The final leg of the event is scheduled to be held on December 12, 2015, also at Mazagan.

The winners were announced in the presence of Lahcen Haddad, minister of Tourism, Graham Cook, founder of the World Travel Awards, and Stephan Killinger, president of Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort.

Receiving the awards, Killinger said: “It is a great honour to be recognised globally for our excellence across several categories. We have been working very hard to enhance the level of service at Mazagan, and we believe our efforts have contributed to making Morocco an ideal destination for visitors from around the Arab region and beyond.”

“We have played a key role over the past year in boosting the number of tourists to Morocco from new markets, especially from the Arab region, particularly GCC countries. The balmy weather and world-class service has put the spotlight on Mazagan as a superior destination in North Africa that shouldn’t be missed,” added Killinger.

WTA has evolved into the most prestigious and comprehensive awards program in travel and tourism, and is recognised worldwide as the hallmark of industry excellence.

Since 1993, the World Travel Award has been rewarding leaders of the global tourism industry through the votes of tourism professionals from 171 countries, in an effort to recognise the very best travel organisations in the world that push the boundaries of excellence and implementing ground-breaking ideas. – TradeArabia News Service
