Owners urged to remove abandoned cars from BIA car park

Bahrain Airport Company has urged car owners to remove their abandoned cars from the long-term Car Park ‘C’ at Bahrain International Airport, following its closure, to facilitate the commencement of enabling works for new airport modernisation programme.

The firm said that if abandoned vehicles are not removed by December 21, the BAC will make the necessary arrangements to remove the cars, said a statement.

BAC has been working closely with the managers of BIA’s car parks - BAC Facility Management (BAC FM) and key stakeholders, to ensure effective alternative parking solutions are put in place and minimum disruption is caused to passenger movement, it said.

To compensate for the closure of Car Park ‘C’, long-term Car Parks ‘B’, ‘D’ and ‘E’ have been made accessible to provide an alternative long term parking solution.

BAC has also increased the provision of shuttle buses between the airport car parks and the airport terminal building as well as the frequency of pick-ups and drop-offs for the shuttle buses to maintain efficiency and speed of service, said the statement. - TradeArabia News Service
