Oman Air staff receive free health assessment

Oman Air, the national carrier of the sultanate, provided free medical assessments to more than 100 of its employees in Muscat as part of the airline’s drive to improve health awareness throughout the company.

Organised by the Medical Welfare section of Oman Air’s Human Resources department, the assessments were delivered by Apollo Sugar. It included consultations with diabetes specialist, blood sugar and blood pressure checks, physical check-ups - including measurement of height, weight and BMI (body mass index) - and an awareness and education programme about the complications of diabetes and how to delay the complications.

The health assessments were the latest in an ongoing series of initiatives undertaken by Oman Air with the aim of safeguarding the health and well-being of its staff. These have ranged from health awareness programmes to support for cultural and spiritual activities, including the recent funding of Hajj pilgrimages for 13 staff. – TradeArabia News Service
