Enoc Group, a leading integrated global energy player, has announced the opening of the registration of its Women in Energy Awards that aims to recognise women's achievements within the country’s energy sector.
Inspired by Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), to encourage and provide opportunities for Emirati women to strengthen their contribution to enable economic and social progress in the country.
Applications are open from October 1 - November 30 to female employees – UAE nationals and expatriates – working in the energy sector in the UAE.
Candidates must have a minimum of three years of experience working in the energy sector in the UAE.
Women Leaders in Energy, Women Innovators in Energy, and Women CSR Influencers in Energy are the three main categories of the awards. Candidates should showcase strong vision, leadership skills, and an entrepreneurial spirit in their entries.
The Women Leaders in Energy category covers four criteria including Woman Leader in Energy, Woman Leader in Driving Clean Energy and Renewables, Woman Technocrat Leader and Woman Young Leader.
The Women Innovators in Energy category includes Woman Innovator and Woman Thought Leader, whereas the Women CSR Influencers in Energy category includes Woman CSR Influencer and Woman Leading Volunteering Program.
The inaugural Women in Energy Awards first cycle witnessed several strong entries from government entities including DEWA, RTA, and Dubai Municipality, and celebrated the longstanding achievements of women who have shown exceptional leadership and been catalysts for positive change in the industry.--OGN/ TradeArabia News Service
