Dubai-based luxury suncare brand set for hotel launch

SunKiss, a UAE-developed and manufactured luxury suncare brand, is gearing up for a September launch throughout the region’s hotel industry.

As well as being a pleasure to apply and wear, the mineral-based, natural suncare line is oxybenzone and octinoxate free so is also safe for marine life.

Bottled in stylish refillable, aluminum containers the product roll-out will launch with SPF15 and SPF30 in coconut and unscented fragrances with a SPF50 SunKiss Junior product for the more delicate skin of babies and children.

“With the relaxing of movement restriction in the UAE, we thought now was an excellent time to announce the good news story of SunKiss, our exciting home-grown product range set to launch in September 2020,” said Clare Maskall, co-founder of the Dubai-based brand.

“Currently, most sunscreens are imported internationally and with a global market of $8.5 billion, now is the time for the UAE to capitalise on that whilst closing the environmental loop as much as possible,” Maskall said.

“The initial target audience is within the hotel community,” added co-founder Joanna Barclay. “SunKiss will allow properties to offer their guests five-star suncare yet with enormous savings compared to the competition. The refillable aspect also falls in line with the environmental mandate that is now at the forefront of the tourism sector.”

Ambitious plans by the founders include a full line of pre- and post- sun SunKiss products. These will be augmented by a range of fashion-forward, sustainably sourced beach accessories.

A percentage of sales from SunKiss will be donated to local environmental groups to help with reef restoration and the protection of marine life, they said. – TradeArabia News Service
