Bahraini firm EDX named ‘Tech Company of the Year’

EDX Labs, a Bahrain-based R&D company was recently awarded ‘Technology Company of the Year’ for outstanding efforts in driving regional growth at the Meed Awards in Dubai, UAE.

Meed recognizes companies from all over the region based on their tremendous efforts in driving growth and fostering innovation within the GCC. This year’s winners were judged on their achievements in environmental sustainability, diversification, people, and impact on society as well as the performance of their business over the past year.

As EDX Labs’ main mission is to ensure the region plays a major role in the ongoing 4th Industrial Revolution, its main focus is to have technology platforms & software developed in the GCC to be servicing customers across all 190+ countries.

Having initially been an R&D department to the well-renowned cybersecurity startup CTM360, upon extraction and independence, it has been able to successfully launch three additional security-related startups (DMARC360, PENTEST360, and MG360) over the past year alone.

Its success can truly be measured by adoption of the rolled out technologies, specifically CTM360, a cloud-based cybersecurity startup that has gained a global presence by servicing the financial sector in over 28 countries and the most recently awarded DMARC360, an email security intelligence platform to protect brands from email spoofing and impersonation.

In line with the GCC’s drive on diversification and sustainability, EDX Labs is focused on cybersecurity-related initiatives to help foster a tech ecosystem with one main mission, ‘Build locally Scale Globally’. The core strategy is to leverage technology in bringing about high ROI with minimal effort and complexity.

Future plans for the company include scaling all 4 of its regionally-based startups globally and fostering more ideas worth spreading. EDX Labs aims to support entrepreneurs and founders in building and nurturing their ‘BIG’ ideas/projects.

“We want to empower and enable the Arab region to focus on software R&D and have a global impact. This is a must to participate in the 4th industrial revolution. Furthermore, our focus on Cyber Security is a must for driving sustainability goals,” said co-founder & CEO Mirza Asrar Baig. – TradeArabia News Service
