Drydocks World starts Jotun FPSO turntable project

Drydocks World, the service provider to the marine, offshore, oil, gas and renewable energy sectors, has commenced production at Jotun Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) Fabrication of Turntable Project.
 
A steel-cutting ceremony was held to mark the start of production on Jotun FPSO Fabrication of Turntable Project for Bluewater Energy Services for end client, Vår Energi, a statement said.
 
The Turntable is 24 metres in diameter and 10 metres high, weighing around 925 tonnes. The work on the project will require around 275,000 man hours to complete the fabrication and testing works.
 
The scope of this fabrication project by Drydocks World – Dubai includes bulk procurement, fabrication engineering, assembly, inspection, mechanical completion, testing and load-out of the Turret Turntable.
 
The project is scheduled to be delivered by the mid of 2021 and will be designed, fabricated and tested in accordance with stringent Norwegian and international standards, the statement added.
