Dubai Exports expands international office network

Dubai Exports, the export promotion agency of Dubai Economy, has expanded its international office network to 24 cities around the world, as part of its on-going efforts to support and boost exports and re-exports through Dubai.

The expansion in office representation is part of a Dubai Exports wider strategy to explore various avenues and strategies that can effectively support and expand international business connections and opportunities for Dubai exporters’ and re-exporters’, especially in light of the added challenges companies face as the result of the Covid-19 pandemic, and its impact on international travel for business development, Dubai Exports said in a statement.

Key responsibilities of the international offices include: the attraction of buyers for Dubai export or re-export products; trade facilitation through the set-up of meetings between exporters and international importers; assistance to Dubai Exports and its stakeholders at international trade exhibitions, events and trade missions; in-market support for stakeholder product and company registration in import markets; and public relations and marketing activities to elevate the awareness and positioning of Dubai exports internationally.

Dubai Exports has partnered with AVIAREPS, a global leader in trade promotion, aviation and tourism international representation, for the establishment of the representational offices in 24 cities in 20 countries and territories around the globe, including: China, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia in Asia; Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and Canada in the Americas; and Germany, Russia and the UK in Europe.

Engineer Saed Al Awadi, CEO of Dubai Exports commented: "Despite current global challenges, Dubai Exports remains fully committed to our strategic goal of elevating Dubai as an internationally competitive export and re-export hub, whereby exports continue to play a key contributor role to the economy of Dubai and the UAE. With the expansion of the Dubai Exports international office network, Dubai exporters and re-exporters will now have on-the-ground support in more markets than ever before. Each international office is able to assist Dubai exporters, even if the exporters themselves are unable to travel to those cities at this current point in time.”

Edgar Lacker, CEO of AVIAREPS, said: “We are greatly honoured to expand our relationship with Dubai Exports and share the vision, goals, and challenges of ensuring Dubai exporters and re-exporters continue to develop new business opportunities and markets globally.”

Ahmed Al Omari, Director, Dubai Exports added: “In addition to our regular outreach activities, Dubai Exports will also engage with international buyers through various virtual events and platforms, to ensure that every opportunity is maximised for our stakeholders.” –TradeArabia News Service
