DI, Beit Al Khair create community meals record

Dubai Investments (DI), a leading diversified investment company, and Beit Al Khair, a Dubai-based leading charity organisation, have delivered 9,000 community meals in two hours and 52 minutes creating the Guinness World Records for the ‘Most Community Meals delivered’.

The full-fledged set meal was delivered from a central point located within Dubai Investments Park 2, Dubai, said a statement from the organisation.

Major General Obaid Muhair bin Sorour, GDRFA deputy director-general, and chairman of the Standing Committee for Labour Affairs in Dubai, supervised the distribution of meals to workers in Dubai Investments Park, in the presence of Mohammed Saeed Al Raqbani, general manager of Dubai Investments Industries (DII), Abdeen Taher Al Awadi, director-general of the Beit Al Khair Society, and Saeed Mubarak Al Mazroui, deputy director general of the Society.

The world record creation marked attendance from Dubai Investments and Beit Al Khair Society’s volunteering employees who actively contributed to the company’s successful initiative.

Al Raqbani said: “Dubai Investments are honoured to participate in this remarkable event and create a record. The company’s community programs are part of strong sustainability commitments across all businesses.”

“Creating record through a community initiative has helped the company to reach out to the needy and at the same time foster and cultivate the ethos of giving back to the community,” he added.

Community Meals Services are aimed at supporting vulnerable people to carry on living independently in the community. The service provides nutritious hot meals aimed at the overall health and well-being of the community, it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
