Next year's Arabal in Egypt

Egypt will host the 24th edition of Arab International Aluminium Conference (Arabal 2020) in November 2020, according to Mahmoud Sultan, managing director of commercial sectors and board member, Egyptalum.

The event will be held either in the city of Luxor or the resort town Sharm el-Sheikh, Sultan told the Gulf Industry at the press conference on Arabal 2019, held today in Bahrain. This year’s Arabal will be held in Bahrain next month (November 19-21).

Egyptalum, is the largest aluminium producer in Egypt and one of the largest in Africa having a total annual production of around 320,000 tonnes.

The company is planning to take its production up to 550,000 tonnes over a period of next two years. “By next year, we plan to increase our production to 400,000 tonnes and by 2021 to 550,000 tonnes,” Sultan said.

Arabal is the premium trade event for the Middle East’s aluminium industry and the only conference in the world attended by every single primary aluminium manufacturer in the region. Therefore, it is the conference of choice for anyone interested in the Middle East aluminium industry.

Arabal first began in 1983 with Kuwait Aluminium Co. bringing together the leading figures in Middle East Aluminium to strengthen ties and discuss the issues of the day to provide an overview about the entire aluminium industry. Over the past 35 years, it has become an event of international repute, bringing together leaders from the aluminium industry across the world to attend, speak, and exhibit, at the event. - TradeArabia News Service
