Top global experts set for Saudi Logistics Conference

Leading global industry experts will be in capital Riyadh next month to discuss a host of key issues related to supply-chain management and the future of logistics services at the third edition of Saudi Logistics Conference.

To be held from October 13 to 15 at the Four Seasons Hotel, the summit will put spotlight on key issues including 'Simplifying the concepts of supply chain technology and logistics,' and the 'future of logistics services in the kingdom in the digital age', said the organisers.

Discussions will also focus on renewable energy and supply chain issues, future logistics projects, as well as analysing big data and its impact on companies and organisations, they stated.

The event aims to achieve the goals of the Saudi government in making the kingdom a global logistics hub connecting the three continents by providing a distinguished and strong infrastructure and competitive services, they added.

Yasser Abdulaziz Al Misfer, the head of marketing and corporate communications at the Ministry of Transport, said: "The event aims at attracting about 2,000 participants representing the logistics field in the public and private sectors locally, regionally, and globally, in addition to the international institutions and major investment companies in the logistics sector."

Al Misfer, also an adviser to the Minister of Transport and chairman of the conference supervisory committee, said the upcoming event is among the most prominent logistics conferences in the world.

"Saudi Logistics Conference has become a reference point for many local and international decision-makers as it highlights the latest legislation, regulations, investment opportunities and the most important logistics services provided by the kingdom to encourage competition and make the kingdom's logistics sector more attractive," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
