Ericsson wins 4 Red Dot Product Design awards

Ericsson, a leading communications service provider, has won four Red Dot Product Design 2019 awards for Ericsson Radio System portfolio products.

The products are: Ericsson AIR 5331, Ericsson AIR 6488, Ericsson AIR 4455 and Ericsson DOT 4479.

The Red Dot Product Design Award is one of the world’s largest design competitions, said a statement.

In 2019, designers and manufacturers from 55 countries entered more than 5,500 products in the competition.

Ericsson received distinction in the Product Design 2019 award for its products’ outstanding design, level of innovation, functionality, formal quality, longevity and ergonomics.

Peter Zec, founder and chief executive officer, Red Dot, congratulated Ericsson on the success.

“The fact that their products were able to satisfy the strict criteria of the jury bears testimony to their award-winning design quality,” he said. “Ericsson are thus setting key trends in the design industry and are showing where future directions may lead.”
