Ajman Free Zone used its Innovation Forum, marking the UAE’s National Innovation Month, to announce its participation in a global accreditation scheme aimed at strengthening the culture of innovation across all of the organisation’s operations.
 
The announcement was made at the Digitalized Workplace Forum, Marsa Ajman, by Ali Matar Al Hosani, human resources director for Ajman Free Zone, following addresses by representatives of both local and international companies who place innovation at the centre of their organisations, said a statement.

Starting from this month, Ajman Free Zone will work closely with The Global Innovation Academy (GIA) to ensure its personnel become certified innovation practitioners. 

The GIA is an international knowledge power-house committed to spreading innovation culture through research, design and development of world-class competency-based modular training and learning programmes leading to the certification of practitioners, as well as the licensing of innovation trainers, assessors and consultants.

Ali Matar Al Hosani made the announcement before handing out accolades to the event’s stellar speakers who represented Microsoft, Salesforce, Takeleap and Futurists’ Hub. 

Each speaker had presented a wealth of information on topics including Digital Workplace Scenarios and best practice, the application of virtual and augmented reality in business, and the definition of the fourth industrial revolution. 

Fatima Al Hamrani, team leader, innovation and excellence of Ajman Free Zone, said: “The event provided the ideal opportunity to announce our involvement in this forward-thinking initiative with the GIA.”

“It’s our intention that all of our personnel appreciate the crucial role that innovation plays across every single department, and that they learn how they can embrace it.  Following a very informative and motivational session by our guest speakers, our HR Director was able to explain how Ajman Free Zone is fully committed to a culture of innovation and he highlighted how the accreditation would act as a credible endorser of that commitment,” she said.
