Smart Wood, part of Taxiat Trading Company of Saudi Arabia, made its debut in style at the Gulf Construction Expo in Manama, with a grand showcase of its innovative composite wood products at the three-day event.
The company believes its innovative composite wood products will “sweep the Bahrain market”, and is at the Northern Gulf's biggest showcase for the building and construction sector to create awareness of its capabilities and products.
In fact, Smart Wood has gone the extra mile to impress visitors to its stand by showcasing a mini-swimming pool that can be transformed into an open hall by ingeniously sliding a motorised parquet flooring panel on top of it.
The Riyadh-based Taxiat Trading specialises in cladding materials, both interior and exterior, made of composite wood to international standards.
The company can execute a wide range of projects including design, delivery and installation of flooring, canopies, pergolas and structural cladding.
Taxiat offers products from Australia’s Biowood - a registered brand name of GRM Australia - which are wood plastic composites (WPC) made by combining thermoplastics with wood “powder”.
The product is resistant to heat and water and is offered with a 10-year warranty, remarked Amr Mohammed, project manager at Taxiat.
“The market demand for our products is very good. We have had potential customers from Bahrain coming all the way to Riyadh to see our products and capabilities,” stated Mohammed, adding that this prompted the company to participate in Gulf Construction Expo.
Buoyed by the interest shown by clients in Bahrain, Smart Wood is looking at opening a showroom in the country soon, revealed the top company official.
Smart Wood has already completed projects for a number of villas in Bahrain, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
