The Middle East Paper Co (Mepco), a leading vertically-integrated paper manufacturer in the region, revealed that it was recently honoured as the winner of the ‘King Khaled Award for Responsible Competitiveness’.
HH King Salman bin Abdulaziz presented Eng Sami Safran, chief executive officer, of Mepco, with the award.
The accolade is held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and is known for honouring companies that have built competitive advantage through a commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR), said a statement.
Mepco is one of the largest vertically-integrated paper manufacturer in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region offering a diverse range of paper products to customers around the world.
The company’s innovative approach to doing business enables it to deliver significant environmental and economic benefit to its home market, it said.
