UAE-based Alco General Transport and Plant Hire, a subsidiary of Salem Ahmad Almoosa Enterprises, said that it has been recently awarded ISO (International Standards Organization) 9001:2015 certification.
Alco General Transport is one of the largest plant and equipment rental providers in the region with more than 40 years of experience supplying machinery for the oil and gas, construction, infrastructure and industrial sectors, said the company in a statement.
The certification is an international qualification which attests to a company’s capability to deliver quality across all areas of business following applicable regulatory, statutory, and customer requirements, it stated.
The certification affirms that the company is well-qualified to consistently meet or exceed customer expectations in terms of the quality of products or service performance and timely delivery, and that the company will continue to leverage technology in all its business processes to maintain competitive advantage and continuously improve its operations, it said.
The assessment conducted by Quality Registrar Systems certifies that the company has met the management system standards set by the ISO, including a clearly outlined quality policy fully-understood by employees, it added.
It has also been audited and found compliant to the standards body’s health, safety and Environment (HSE) policy, which provides the framework of the company’s commitment to a safe and healthy working environment, said a statement.
The company is committed to implement safe working practices which include protection from hazards to employees and to the environment arising from its operations. It also stated that it will train employees in work safety and environmental sustainability practices, it said.
Alco General Transport provides a wide range of equipment such as air compressors, generators, welding machines, cranes, tower lights, wheel loaders, diesel generators, excavators, road rollers, compactors, and sandblasting equipment for offshore and onshore facilities.
