Alba launches summer safety campaign

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), the Bahrain-based international aluminium smelter, has launched its Summer Safety Challenge campaign.

Aimed at raising safety awareness during summer, the campaign unveiled three areas of focus: stop lost time injuries (LTIs); decrease injuries; and have zero heat exhaustions, said a statement from the company.

The new campaign will be held from July to September and comprise site-visits, presentations on Safety and awareness sessions for all employees and contractors, it said.  

Alba’s chief executive officer Tim Murray, said: “Safety is our number one priority and the focus of the challenge is to raise awareness about the extreme heat and operating conditions during the summer months.”

“This campaign is part of our infinite safety journey to achieve its goals of Safety Tomorrowland,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
