CPI Business to host conference on SME finance

Dubai-based CPI Business is set to host a half-day conference entitled ‘Cashflow, Cost management and Change,’ an event aimed at tackling the different aspects of small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) finance, tomorrow (May 18) in Dubai, UAE.

The event is taking place at the Taj Hotel, and will be held in collaboration with Etisalat.

The conference will bring in the likes of Al Ramz Capital, NImai Management Consultants, Lumina Advisers, EY Finance, SAP, Kaplan Genesis, AKI Group, UWI, Beehive and TBWA RAAD to discuss how to confront these dynamics to shape a better future for business, said a statement.

Recent economic developments across the region underscore three critical areas every business owner needs to assess to survive - they are cashflow, cost and change. This conference looks to dissect these three elements and help companies craft fresh strategies to combat the growing challenges, it said.

The conference will feature three sessions; the first one is entitled, ‘Tomorrow’s finance leaders: navigating change’ which will provide a snapshot of the current landscape and then give an overview of financial strategies companies require for a changing business climate.

This is followed by the second session, ‘Building your finance function,’ allowing participants to engage in practical discussions about tools and tips to improve their finances.

The third and last session is entitled, ‘Beyond Finance,’ which is expected to give participants a better understanding of how finance is transforming in a digital era and will look at the world of alternative financing.

Gina O’Hara Larsen, chief operating officer and co-founder, CPI Business, said: “At a time when cashflow is perhaps the most important priority for a business owner, we felt it was necessary to tackle the subject.”

“Through the insights shared by our experts, we hope to answer questions such as ‘how to use data to improve financial control’ and ‘how to manage your debt’. In our regular interactions with business owners, we understand that these are the key issues they are currently faced with. The focal point of this event is taking rapid change and making economic sense out of it,” she added.

‘Cashflow, cost management and change’ is also being brought in part by Etihad Airways, BUPA Global, Dubai South – The Business Park, Zawdeh, SAP, Orient Planet Research and UTalenta.com, it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
