BisB teams up with Injaz Bahrain for innovation camp

BisB, a provider of Shari’a-compliant innovative financial solutions in Bahrain, recently hosted an innovation camp in collaboration with Injaz Bahrain to inspire young entrepreneurial mindsets and broaden their horizons.

The ‘BisB innovation camp’ was attended by 50 students from the Royal University for Women, who took part in a series of activities to develop original solutions for youth banking. The students were required to utilise skills such as critical thinking, teamwork, communication, and leadership, to create a new and innovative product or service for BisB.

The workshop was led by seven volunteers from the company. They created seven teams to spark the competition and helped direct and guide the students through the activities.

At the end of the session, the judging panel, which consisted of three BisB department heads, assessed the ideas presented by the participating teams. The pink team were announced as the winners of the best creative idea for a product for youth, said a statement.

The ‘BisB’ Innovation Camp’ supports the bank’s new corporate social responsibly (CSR) platform, “Jood”, which focuses on education and innovation as a means to create a future-ready workforce with vital skills and an innovative mindset that can transform them into competitive, highly attractive candidates for the labour market, said the statement.

Hassan Jarrar, chief executive officer of BisB, said: "We are delighted to have organised this workshop in collaboration with Injaz Bahrain. Such initiatives are very much aligned with our CSR platform “Jood” that encourages innovative, out-of-the-box thinking among the younger generation.
The workshop served to inspire creativity among the participants, enabling them to develop innovative banking products and services which BisB will actively seek to transform into real life banking solutions that meet the needs of the youth.”  -TradeArabia News Service
