DLD opens new real estate office in New York

The Dubai Land Department (DLD) said it has opened a real estate promotion office in New York, US, in partnership with Aqari Global ‘Century 21, as part of its efforts to promote investment opportunities in Dubai’s burgeoning real estate market.

Sultan Butti bin Mejren, the director-general of DLD and Majida Ali Rashid, the chief executive of the Real Estate Promotion and Investment Management Sector at DLD, jointly inaugurated the new office in the presence of Majid Al Suwaidi, Consul-General of the UAE in New York.

Several leading real estate professionals and industry leaders, including agents, real estate brokers, and fund managers, attended the opening ceremony.

Speaking at the launch, Bin Mejren said: "The new office will contribute to promoting investment opportunities in Dubai’s real estate market, in light of the emirate’s unique advantage over other markets, in addition to the high returns on investment, whether for investors or real estate developers, compared to other cities around the world."

Dubai, he stated, was one of the 10 fastest-growing real estate markets in the world, with the infrastructure, security, and safety it provides for investors, supported by DLD’s unique legal structure to ensure the security of investments.

Rashid said DLD aimed to position Dubai as the world’s premier real estate destination and a byword for innovation, trust and happiness, as well as to maintain the attractive investment opportunities US nationals can obtain in Dubai’s real estate market, and the services offered by Dubai Real Estate Institute to agents and brokers in the US..

"The office will also work closely with real estate brokers in the US to encourage them to promote Dubai real estate projects among American investors," she stated.

Rashid stressed that the real estate promotion trustee office, which will be the focal point for developers in Dubai to reach out to the US market, will promote investment opportunities in Dubai, and will represent a practical centre, allowing local developers to sell their projects to American buyers.

"The office will provide customer relations, responses to enquiries, and specialised services that help attract investments, and will introduce investors from around the world to the services provided by DLD," noted the top official.

In addition, the office will participate in real estate exhibitions and external workshops organised by DLD and its partners in different regions of the US, she added.-TradeArabia News Service
