Deloitte appoints managing partner for Oman

Deloitte, a leading provider of audit and assurance, consulting, financial advisory, risk advisory, tax and related services, has appointed Ahmad Al Qassabi as managing partner of the firm’s Oman practice, effective June 1.

Al Qassabi replaces Anis Sadek who retires from the firm on that date.

In his current partner role at Deloitte, Al Qassabi handles key clients in audit, financial advisory and consulting in Oman, and leads the firm’s corporate governance initiatives. He has been pivotal in Deloitte’s Omanization program, which focuses on developing the skills and careers of Omani youth to enable them to hold leadership positions in the Firm.

Prior to joining Deloitte, Al Qassabi spent several years at the Oman Capital Markets Authority (CMA), where he held the position of director general - Issues and Disclosures. He is a graduate in accounting from Sultan Qaboos University and is a Fellow of the UK’s Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA). – TradeArabia News Service
