Dubai hotel occupancy in April peaked during Eid: STR

Dubai’s hotel industry saw its saw highest April 2023 occupancy levels during the Eid-al Fitr holiday period, according to preliminary data from STR, a leading provider of marketplace insights for the global hospitality industry.
The emirate’s hotels recorded an occupancy rate of 71.4% in April, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 21.3%.
Average daily rate (ADR) reached AED751.19 ($204.52), declining 4.7% year-on-year., while revenue per available room (RevPAR) was up 15.6% to AED536.32 during the month.
The market’s highest occupancy level was recorded on Saturday, April 22 at 90.1% – the only day of the month the metric surpassed the 90% mark. Daily RevPAR for the month also reached its highest level on this date, at AED707.03.
Peak ADR for the month occurred from April 4-11, with the metric coming in above AED800 daily, in line with the Easter holiday. Key source markets, such as the UK, contributed to the high performance during this period.
Overall, the market’s occupancy levels remained above 80% from April 21 onwards. – TradeArabia News Service
