Kempinski Muscat’s 13 Omani team members win NHI award

MUSCAT, January 17, 2022

A total of 13 Omani team members at Kempinski Hotel Muscat were nominated and were announced winners for National Hospitality Institute’s Hospitality Champions of 2021.

Participating team members were selected from different departments, such as administrative roles, to guest facing roles. Eight participants won the first place and five claimed the runners-up awards.

The purpose of this initiative is to raise awareness of the hospitality sector and encourage Omanis to take advantage of training opportunities with the NHI. In addition, it is to highlight and show appreciation to Omanis who have chosen the tourism sector as a profession in the Sultanate and to celebrate and reward those individuals who excel in their roles whilst serving as a shining example to prospective entrants to the industry.

General Manager Carsten Wiegandt said: “I would like to congratulate all the Omani men and women who participated in this competition for their hard work, and we extend our sincere thanks to all the partners involved that organised this successful annual award competition, especially the National Hospitality Institute and Apex Media.”

The National Hospitality Institute visited and conducted interviews with each candidate to understand their past work experience. After many hours of considering the candidates, the judges came to a unanimous decision. – TradeArabia News Service
