Jabal Omar signs up Archipelago to manage premium Makkah hotels

RIYADH, April 15, 2021

Leading Saudi real estate group Jabal Omar Development Company (JODC) has signed up Archipelago International, one of largest privately owned and independent hotel management group in Southeast Asia, for two of its hotel projects in its ambitious Jabal Omar project, located near the Makkah mosque.
 
A leader in real estate development in Saudi Arabia, JODC said the hotel management agreements are for the 5-star luxury property Jabal Omar The Royal Alana Makkah which boasts 581 rooms and the 5-star Jabal Omar The Alana Makkah with 560 rooms.
 
The hotels, which are located in Phase 4 of the Jabal Omar project, are currently under construction and are situated adjacent to each other in a prime location overlooking the Makkah mosque.
 
On the key contract win, Gerard Byrne, Managing Director, Archipelago Overseas, said: "The entire Archipelago team is delighted to sign these agreements and to continue to grow our portfolio of hotels in the kingdom."
