Bahrain reinstates visa extension fees from Jan 22

Bahrain’s Nationality, Passport and Residence Affairs (NPRA) said that the automatic and free extension of visiting visas would stop, adding that fee levies would resume from January 22, according to a media report.
The grace period started on April 21, 2020 in implementation of the Executive Committee’s decision which took into account the situation of visitors following the suspension of flights as a result of COVID-19 pandemic, reported Bahrain News Agency (BNA).
The visitors can apply to extend their visas through bahrain.bh or visiting any services centres at the Muharraq Security Complex, Isa Town Office near Southern Governorate Police after booking appointments via Skiplino app, the report said.
