Sky Prime picks Honeywell for fleet maintenance

RIYADH, March 13, 2019

Sky Prime, a leading Saudi Arabian private jet operator, has selected Honeywell Mechanical and Avionics Protection Plans to cover its fleet of seven Gulfstream business jets.

Sky Prime picked the Honeywell plan to ensure the Honeywell equipment on board its Gulfstream jets is protected to enhance performance of the aircraft and help reduce downtime during repairs.

The Honeywell Avionics Protection Plan (HAPP) is a maintenance service program that offers full coverage for all Honeywell avionics. The plan is designed to help operators avoid unplanned maintenance costs and downtime by agreeing to a fixed-price annual fee, which helps operators handle unforeseen issues quickly to keep their aircraft in service.

The Honeywell Mechanical Protection Plan (MPP) provides aircraft operators with access to rapid service and support from Honeywell-trained product experts for maintenance of Honeywell mechanical technologies.

“Building on our existing relationship with Honeywell, we know we can trust the company to provide a global network of aftermarket support to keep our maintenance costs on track and within budget,” said Captain Mamdooh Mokhtar, chief executive officer, Sky Prime. “Introducing MPP and HAPP policies to our Gulfstream aircraft ensures our fleet stays flight-ready and will help us minimizes potential downtime caused by unplanned repairs.”

MPP and HAPP allow users to select the coverage that best meets their needs, with flexible contract options, discounts for early enrolment and special pricing for fleet operators. Honeywell in turn offers avionics expertise, global reach, and resources to protect aviation electronics and cockpit technologies.

“Operators can often experience unexpected grounding of their aircraft and incur associated maintenance costs. MPP and HAPP help an operator’s budget by offering a solution that reduces unplanned maintenance costs, downtime and unnecessary stresses,” said Stephen Alcock, senior director, Aftermarket – Europe, Middle East, Africa and India, Honeywell Aerospace.

“Sky Prime’s selection of MPP and HAPP assists the operator by providing transparent maintenance costs for its Gulfstream fleet, helping them stay in control of their repair budget.”

Honeywell’s MPP and HAPP put aircraft managers and operators in control of the cost outlay for maintenance and repair, with additional advantages, including:

Full coverage on repair services through Honeywell or one of its authorized service centres or dealers
Full coverage on rental units (HAPP only)
    Full coverage on exchange units
    24/7 aircraft-on-ground (AOG) emergency services
Multiyear contracts available with fixed escalation fee
Fixed price with an annual contract
    Shipping costs covered
    Transferable contracts
No buy-in fee – TradeArabia News Service
