Rixos Hospitality Egypt welcomes new managing director

Rixos Hospitality Egypt has appointed Erkan Yildirim as its new managing director and as a member of the board of directors.

In his new role, Yildirim will oversee the future growth and overall operations of the three Rixos properties in Egypt.

With a life-long passion for the hospitality industry, Yildrim brings over 20 years of strategic management experience across an extensive portfolio of the luxurious Rixos Brand. After graduating from Akdeniz University Faculty of Tourism in Turkey, accredited with a Bachelor's Degree in Tourism and Hotel Management, Erkan has worked across all main operational departments, eventually securing managerial positions as director of sales and marketing to senior vice president of sales and marketing and later as a senior vice president operations of Rixos Hotels, EMEA and Far East region.

With excellent facilitation and a successful track record in strategic business development, Yildirim managed 15 properties located in seven different countries, which includes the UAE, Egypt, Switzerland, Croatia, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Russia, overseeing a total of 4,600 rooms.
He will be responsible for establishing Rixos Hospitality Egypt by identifying new business opportunities and strategies to develop the Rixos brand towards a profitable growth and maintaining its reputation as an iconic luxury destination in the market.
