Gulf Hotel's executive assistant manager wins top award

MANAMA, March 28, 2018

Charbel Hanna, executive assistant manager at the Gulf Hotel Bahrain Convention & Spa, was recently presented with the inaugural CEO’s Award at the Gulf Hotels Group annual staff party.

The CEO’s Award is a new recognition programme launched by the Gulf Hotels Group’s chief executive officer, Garfield Jones. The award has been introduced to recognise one employee each year, at any level of the company, in any hotel or division, who has made an outstanding contribution towards the success of the company during the year.

Nominations were received from all the Group’s general managers and senior GHG executives for individuals who had exceeded expectations during the year.

“I received a number of nominations for team members who had excelled during 2017,” said Jones. “There were many worthy recipients for the inaugural award however Charbel was the standout nominee having delivered consistent levels of service in the Gulf Hotel’s F&B Department, introduced numerous exciting promotions with celebrity and Michelin starred chefs, a successful weekly Ladies Night event and the introduction of the award-winning Gulf Grand Brunch every Friday,” he continued. “He also made significant improvements to the Ramadan Tent operation and was instrumental in the Gulf Hotel winning a two-year catering contract at Bahrain International Circuit."
