Bahrain Tourism promotes kingdom, inks deals at WTM

LONDON, November 8, 2017

The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority’s participation in the WTM has proved to be fruitful as representatives met with international travel and tourism companies and discussed collaboration and cooperation, as well as signed deals with a number of firms.

The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority’s participation in the WTM is in line with its strategy to promote the position of the kingdom as an ideal tourism destination across regional and international markets. Events such as WTM act as the perfect platform to connect BTEA with new markets and destinations in order to further boost the tourism sector.

During the exhibition, BTEA aimed to attract visitors to its stand in order to promote the upcoming Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix. Visitors to the stand also had the opportunity to participate in the daily ‘fastest lap’ competition. Additionally, BTEA focused on promoting the pearl diving project which aims to revive Bahrain’s long-standing history in this area.

The BTEA’s participation comes in line with promoting Bahrain as an ideal tourist destination in the region with an aim of attracting new and international markets. We will also focus on highlighting the key international events and attractions available in Bahrain.

WTM 2017 offers the opportunity to discover the world under one roof, and be inspired by industry leaders discussing trends, issues and innovations in the travel industry. The three-day event (November 6-8) brings together around 5,000 destinations, technology and private sector exhibitors networking with 51,000 travel experts, key industry buyers, journalists, digital influencers, students and Tourism Ministers. - TradeArabia News Service
