Dukes Dubai appoints new marketing director

DUBAI, October 4, 2017

Dukes Dubai, the quintessentially British branded, five-star hotel and residences on Palm Jumeirah, has appointed Hiren Mazgaonkar as director of sales and marketing.

An Indian national, Mazgaonkar has over 15 years’ corporate hospitality experience in senior sales positions having established numerous successful sales strategies and implemented business expansion plans for a series of international hospitality brands in the UAE, Bahrain and wider GCC.

His career includes senior sales positions with Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, where he formed an integral part of the pre-opening team; Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Bahrain; and latterly he was director of sales for Banana Island Resort by Anantara.

“Hiren’s in-depth knowledge of the hospitality scene, not just here in Dubai, but across the wider GCC, will add immense value to Dukes Dubai in what is an extremely competitive marketplace.

“We are confident that, along with his colleagues in the executive team, he will be instrumental in consolidating our market position as the number one business and leisure destination for visitors to the emirate and residents alike,” said Debrah Dhugga, managing director of Dukes Dubai and Dukes London.

Mazgaonkar added: “Dukes Dubai may only have opened earlier this year, but it is already establishing a formidable reputation, with its first-class service, luxury rooms and extensive F&B offering. I am looking forward to drawing on my experience of being part of the Emirates Palace opening team, to take Dukes Dubai to the next level.

“I will empower my team to take strategic commercial decisions based on the prevailing market conditions and involving them in all major projects, including corporate sales, events, marketing and e-commerce,” he said. - TradeArabia News Service
