Oman hotel guest numbers up 14pc in first four months

MUSCAT, July 6, 2017

Over 585,000 guests were recorded staying at Oman's three-, four- and five-star hotels between January and April, an increase of 13.8 per cent compared to the same period in 2016.

According to statistics released by Oman's National Center for Statistics and Information, hotels occupancy rates were recorded at 65.3 per cent, a marginal 1.3 per cent jump from 64.2 per cent in 2016.

Total revenue for the hotels during the first four months climbed up 5.3 per cent to RO77.09 million ($199.5 million), compared to RO73.1 million ($189.4 million) in 2016. - TradeArabia News Service
