LG Electronics to unveil new hospitality tech in Saudi Arabia

DUBAI, April 2, 2017

Hoteliers and restaurateurs will be given exclusive access to future innovations in the digital guest experience when electronics giant LG presents its groundbreaking new range at The Hotel Show Saudi Arabia this week, in partnership with United Naghi Co. Pro-ICT.

This will be the first time the products – designed to enhance interactivity – have been revealed to the Saudi market, at a time where record hotel construction is underway across the country.

The companies describe the “highlight” launch for the Jeddah event as LG’s “world first OLED HTV with IP Smart Solution”. These razor-thin 55- and 65-inch class TVs combine the picture quality of OLED – perfect blacks, intense colors and infinite contrast – with LG’s industry-leading hotel TV technologies.

Complementing the unparalleled in-room guest experience made possible by LG OLED hotel TVs are other new OLED commercial displays, LG’s OLED Dual-view Flat and Curved Tiling displays – ideal for impactful digital signage installations in hotel lobbies, VIP clubs, fitness centers, restaurants, business centers and other high-profile public areas.

The LG Dual-view Flat OLED display provides customers a two-sided media experience in Full HD resolution. The LG Dual-view Curved Tiling OLED display has a curved design using slim tiles to form customisable displays that link up to four tiles. The 65-inch class portrait display has dual-sided view that offers customers a 4K Ultra HD resolution, multi-media experience.

Other on-site reveals set to take place include the 86inch Ultra Stretch Signage, capable of displaying up to four simultaneous images, opening a whole new range of uses. The display is rendered in 58:9 format, which allows for truly dynamic content or even four-divided Picture-by-Picture content where the screen is divided into four independent parts each supporting different content. This is made possible thanks to LG’s SuperSign media editor for content management, allowing end users to easily edit images or video clips of original content to fit the display format.

“The hospitality industry is buzzing in the kingdom with major upcoming hotel developments, especially in Mecca. LG OLED displays for hotel rooms and public spaces cater to premium hoteliers seeking inventive, immersive high-end solutions that offer an unrivalled guest experience,” said Eddie Jun, President, LG Electronics Saudi. “Our OLED and Ultra- Stretch Commercial display range opens up new display possibilities for the industry that will cater to the demand of Saudi’s B2B customers and set a new benchmark for the industry.”

“The Hotel Show Saudi Arabia provides us as suppliers of ‘Pro-ICT’ with the perfect opportunity to showcase the cutting-edge display technology and services in the industry,” said Eng. Khalied Boghari, managing director – Pro-ICT, United Yousef M. Naghi Co. Ltd.

“Pro-ICT, United Yousef M. Naghi Co. Ltd. covers 85 per cent of the market share in hospitality, QSR, banks and retails in Saudi Arabia, delivering the latest products and technology for numerous projects,” added Eng. Nafez Shream, country sales and commercial manager – Pro-ICT, United Yousef M. Naghi Co. Ltd.

Now in its fifth edition, The Hotel Show Saudi Arabia will take place from April 4-6 at the Jeddah Centre for Forums and Events.

Organised by Mice Arabia and co-organised by dmg events, the event is free to attend and runs in tandem with Stone & Surface Saudi Arabia. - TradeArabia News Service
