Kite Festival on Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island on Feb 3

ABU DHABI, January 11, 2017

Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island Resorts in Abu Dhabi, UAE, has announced the return of its annual Kite Festival, which will be held on February 3.

Promising a day filled with adventure and lots of family fun, Anantara is aiming to colour the sky of Desert Islands Resort & Spa’s beach even more this year.

The day focuses on families making their own kites and then flying them from the pristine beaches of the island. Complimentary sausage sizzle, music and fun for all will be available, as well as kids entertainment such as a mini adventure park sponsored by Adventure HQ and beach games including kayaking and archery.

For guests to enjoy the fun it’s not mandatory to fly a kite. Visitors may choose to treat this as an opportunity to spend the day together at the beach and to see this incredible sight of colourful kites flying.

“We as Anantara Team, have started to count down to Kite Fest 2017 and are looking forward to welcoming new faces, as well as returning visitors to Sir Bani Yas Island this year. I am especially excited about the new contest category we have created for this year’s event and I am curious to see which impressive kite creations our guests will come up with,” explained general manager Christian Gerart.

Entries are free for Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island Resorts’ guests. Day visitors get to enjoy the festivities for Dh150 per adult and Dh100 per child. The package includes boat transfer and transportation on the island to the event, as well as a complimentary sausage sizzle, soft drinks, kids’ entertainment and a kite kit.

Guests staying in any of Anantara’s three resorts on Sir Bani Yas Island for the week of the event are entitled for up to 40 per cnet savings on accommodation including daily breakfast, as well as 25 per cnet savings on all island activities, the statement said. Anantara’s Kite Festival Specials start with rates from Dh1,200. - TradeArabia News Service
