Eagle Hills, an Abu Dhabi-based real estate and development company, has awarded a marine and grading works contract to Batco Group, a general engineering and contracting company, for its The Address Fujairah Resort + Spa and The Address Residences Fujairah Resort + Spa.

Commenting on the deal, Low Ping, the chief executive of Eagle Hills, said the awarding of the marine and grading contract to Batco emphasises its aim to provide customers with modern, sustainable, and innovative solutions.

"This is an important milestone towards our commitment to deliver the project, Fujairah’s ultimate leisure and lifestyle destination with a 500-m promenade," she noted.

"The contract signifies the beginning of the exceptional and exclusive destination Fujairah has yet to offer," remarked Ping.
 
"Through following innovative approaches and taking into consideration sustainability measures, we are enhancing the existing site while protecting the beachfront promenade to be enjoyed by all visitors alike," she added.

Eagle Hills said it is closely working together with its development partners to bring this vision together, and deliver the project as planned in 2019.

Located at Sharm in Fujairah, famous for its breath-taking landscape of mountains and sea views, the
mixed-use development will offer the residents and visitors a holistic experience of hospitality, leisure and entertainment.

On completion, the five-star The Address Fujairah Resort + Spa hotel will boast 198 keys, five beach and five garden villas, four residential buildings with central courtyards, thus adding to a total of 170 branded and serviced residences.

The project is situated south of Al Aqah beach and only 21 km south of Dibba Al Fujairah, offering uninterrupted sea views.

Awarding the marine and grading contract marks the first step in bringing the project -  which was unveiled in April during Cityscape Abu Dhabi 2016 - to life.

On the contract win, Batco Group CEO Antoine Azour, said: "Our team worked on developing creative engineering design solutions to meet the client’s highest quality and safety standards, throughout all phases of the project, starting with marine works, beach beautification, mountain slope cut and stabilisation and ending with general grading."
