Gulf Air conducts training course for country managers

MANAMA, November 1, 2016

Bahrain national carrier Gulf Air recently commenced a five-month training course for the airline’s global network of representatives.

The initiative brings Gulf Air country managers to Bahrain to take part in a comprehensive programme that will equip them with the requisite tools and skillset to better achieve their tasks, positively enhance their knowledge base and support their work abroad.

Meeting with the airline’s country managers, Gulf Air chief executive officer Maher Salman Al Musallam said: “We are continually exploring how best to deliver training and development opportunities to all members of the Gulf Air family in order to support our organisation and ensure that all our markets, across the globe, have the best possible representation and that our colleagues in each destination are given the capabilities to succeed. Training and development is a constant process, helping us build upon the experience and knowledge of our workforce – an integral tool to ensure Gulf Air flourishes and remains on the cusp of latest developments globally.”

Gulf Air collaborated with the Arab Air Carriers Organization (AACO) to provide course contents and materials which included a variety of topics such as competency-based development, airport route development and commercial management, Iata airlines sales strategies and strategic marketing planning. With both in class study and self-learning, the training course is set to enrich Gulf Air country managers with soft skills and technical knowledge enhancing their competencies amongst various competitors in their home markets. - TradeArabia News Service
