Brooks brings her years' of experience to Ramada hotels in the UAE

New cluster director HR for Ramada UAE hotels

DUBAI, August 31, 2016

Ramada Plaza Jumeirah Beach and Ramada Sharjah have appointed Sarah Brooks as the new cluster director of Human Resources.

Brooks is familiar with the region and the hospitality sector having worked with Accor Middle East in Oman, Ibis & Novotel Hotel in Dubai, Baglioni Hotel, Park Plaza Hotel and Ibis Hotels Euston & Heathrow in the UK.

Prior to taking on her new role, Brooks worked as an HR manager at Southern Sun Abu Dhabi, where she managed the successful selection and recruitment of the pre-opening team. She was also an active member of the Abu Dhabi HR Managers Network.

Born in the UK, Brooks started her career holding a variety of management and operational positions within the hospitality industry, covering a plethora of responsibilities and with many achievements during this time. During her three-year stint as HR and training manager at Ibis Hotels Euston and Heathrow, Brooks created an Induction programme that has been adopted throughout Ibis UK, showcasing the true potential of her talent and management skills.

Brooks is a member of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), an international professional body for HR and people development that has been setting the benchmark for excellence in people and organisation development for more than 100 years.

Commenting on the appointment, cluster general manager Alper Can Bulcum said: “Sarah  Brooks’ extensive experience in the development of a strategic human resources function will be invaluable to our properties. Within her new role, Brooks will be fully in-charge in all Human Resources requirements of both hotels and assist the management in providing consultation from both an operational and strategic perspective, in addition to developing a culture that enables employees to perform in accordance to the hotel’s objectives and strategic goals. - TradeArabia News Service
