Grand Excelsior takes over Deira hotel

DUBAI, April 17, 2016

Bin Haider Hospitality, a subsidiary of Mohammad Omar Bin Haider Holding Group (MOBH), has rebranded its Sheraton Deira as Grand Excelsior Hotel and taken over management of the property from Starwood Hotels.

This property is the fourth hotel to be internally branded as a Grand Excelsior. The other hotels are in Bur Dubai, Al Barsha and Sharjah.

Bin Haider plans to increase the brand portfolio and expand with more hotel projects across the UAE, Middle East and Europe.

The rebranded hotel is ideally located in the heart of Deira, only few minutes’ drive from Dubai International airport, close to the Gold and Spice Souks, Dubai Creek, shopping malls, other historic attractions and business districts. Featuring 229 spacious guest rooms including 35 suites, it offers a selection of top quality restaurants such as The Terrace, which is atrium styled and serves international cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner; Le Café, an informal lounge serving light refreshments; The Lindbergh’s, a sports bar on the fifth floor; and the AI Masah Ballroom which can accommodate up to 500 guests. The hotel has a well-equipped conference and meeting hall, a health club and a swimming pool.

The executive management team will stay in place under a new general manager, Safwan El Khayat, whose 30 years career span in the hospitality field has seen him work with different international hotel chains. - TradeArabia News Service
