Leading Dubai-based property developer The First Group has taken possession of its first hotel development in the Dubai Marina.

The hotel is a 32-storey, 486-room, four-star property flagged under the globally recognized Wyndham Hotels and Resorts brand.

Known as Wyndham Dubai Marina, the handover marks a major milestone for The First Group, which has built its reputation on developing high-quality serviced apartments and aparthotels in Dubai. The hotel will be managed by Wyndham Hotel Group and is set to become one of Dubai Marina’s landmark properties when it opens for business later this month.

“The handover of Wyndham Dubai Marina marks an important milestone for The First Group,” said Danny Lubert, the company’s co-founder and joint chairman. “In partnership with Wyndham Hotel Group, we will set a new standard for providing affordable, luxury accommodation in Dubai Marina, in line with the Dubai government’s vision to dramatically expand the upscale hotel sector.”

Wyndham Dubai Marina, which will house 486 luxurious rooms and suites, will be located near the Bluewater Island, which will soon be home to the world’s largest Ferris wheel, Dubai Eye, as well as many the Dubai Metro and Tram services.

Additional facilities at Wyndham Dubai Marina will include two restaurants (an all-day dining restaurant and a steakhouse and bar); a spa, gym and swimming pool with pool bar; meeting space; an executive lounge; as well as a coffee shop and souvenir outlet.
