New HalalTrip food-spotting app offers exclusive benefits

HalalTrip offers food lovers special meal deals

DUBAI, January 21, 2016

Halal Food lovers could soon be enjoying special deals on their favourite meals thanks to the world’s leading Muslim travel app.

HalalTrip has signed up its first restaurant to a new initiative that will entitle users of its app to receive special offers.

Any diner who posts a picture of their meal at a participating restaurant using HalalTrip’s food-spotting feature will enjoy exclusive deals.

Kintamani Indonesian Restaurant in Singapore has become the first restaurant that has committed to this programme. HalalTrip hopes to add more restaurants across the world over the next few months to this new initiative.

Raudha Zaini, digital content manager at HalalTrip, said using technology to enhance the experience of Muslim travellers across the world was a key aim of the app.

She said: “The food-spotting app is a fun way for diners to experience cuisines across the world and it was a natural fit to use this feature to bring consumers and service providers together.

“We are delighted with the first restaurant sign-up and hope to extend this discount initiative to restaurants across the world who are signed up to HalalTrip and add value to our users.”

The food-spotting feature on the HalalTrip app allows users to “spot” Halal food dishes and upload images, comment and share via social media across the world.

Diners who upload a picture of their Kintamani Indonesian Restaurant dishes using this feature will be entitled to a complimentary offer.

Zakariah Hussein, restaurant manager of Kintamani Indonesian Restaurant, which is located at Furama RiverFront, said: “We are delighted to join up with HalalTrip and be the first restaurant to offer this new deal.

“Kintamani has been offering an authentic Balinese dining experience to diners for 30 years. Guests can enjoy quality Halal Indonesian cuisine available in an ala Carte menu or an all-you-can-eat lunch or dinner.”

The HalalTrip app brings together a number of key essential travel resources for Muslims alongside Halal food discovery.

The app, available on both iOS and Android, now has English, Arabic, Bahasa Indonesia and Bahasa Malaysia user interfaces.

The free app is available for both iPhone/iPad & Android smartphones/tablets and can be downloaded by searching for ‘HalalTrip’ in the App Store/Google Play. – TradeArabia News Service
