Iran likely to pick Naco for airport city project

TEHRAN, December 21, 2015

Iran is likely to award a five-year consultancy contract to The Netherlands Airport Consultants (Naco) for the construction of its ambitious Imam Khomeini Airport City, said a report.

The Dutch firm will be roped in to design the masterplan for developing the airport city, Tehran Times reported, citing a top official.
 
The project plan will also include Iranshahr and Salam Terminals, revealed Mahmoud Navidi, the managing director of Imam Khomeini Airport City Company.

Currently, Imam Khomeini International Airport accommodates eight million annual passengers and with all future facilities of Iranshahr and Salam terminals in the masterplan constructed, the airport could accommodate 30 million annual passengers, he added.
