Swiss-Belhotel...expanding its portfolio in the Middle East

Swiss-Belhotel takes over Sharjah property

SHARJAH, October 26, 2015

Swiss-Belhotel International, a leading hospitality management chain, continues its expansion in the UAE with the take-over of Swiss-Belhotel Sharjah, increasing its Middle East Portfolio to 12 operating and project hotels.

Previously named Sharjah Rotana, Swiss-Belhotel Sharjah is ideally situated in the heart of the city, close to the Arts and Heritage area and Rolla Souk and stone’s throw away from the sandy beach of Sharjah and Ajman.

Gavin M Faull, Swiss-Belhotel International chairman and president, said: “This is our third hotel in the UAE following Swiss-Belhotel Corniche and Swiss-Belresort Ghantoot in Abu Dhabi and we are excited to bring the group’s passion and professionalism in this very dynamic market.”

“Being part of Sharjah, the city that invested considerable resources in building a strong cultural heritage and was named as Unesco's 'Arab Capital of Culture in 1998, we will ensure that with our international standards in place, the hotel will highlight local hospitality and promote its rich and captivating flavours,” Faull added.

Sharjah is a melting pot of culture and industry, making it a home to key administrative and commercial centres holding distinctive landmarks including two intricately designed covered souks, beautiful historical mosques and a number of recreational areas and public parks like Al Jazeirah Fun Park and Al Buheirah Corniche.

The four-star rated Swiss-Belhotel Sharjah features 205 well-appointed rooms, four meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 100 persons, a lobby café and an all-day-dining restaurant. As an additional service, the hotel offers a daily scheduled shuttle bus to Dubai as well as private transfers to the beach.  With its close proximity to the commercial district and entertainment hubs, Swiss-Belhotel Sharjah is a convenient and ideal venue for travellers whether on business or holiday break. – TradeArabia News Service
