A delegation from the Ajman government visiting Milan Expo 2015 recently held four separate meetings with key officials of the city to gather information about Milan and learn best practices in organising a huge international exhibition.

The team, headed by Saeed Almatrooshi, secretary general of the executive council of Ajman, visited the Lombardy Region and met with Marco De Capitani, officer for trade and fair department and Giusi Valeriano, officer for tourism.

The delegation also met with Alfredo Zini, member of the board of Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Agriculture and Handicraft in Milan; Federica Rossi, Milan Expo events manager and Alessandro Pollio Salimbeni, central director for Productive Activities and Territorial Marketing from the Municipality of Milan.

Faisal Al Nuaimi, general manager of Ajman Tourism Development Department, said the objective of the meeting was to learn about how the government prepared for the exhibition. The key strategies used would further enable the Ajman delegation to prepare for Dubai Expo 2020.

The team will also visit the UAE pavilion at the Milan Expo and will have a tour of Parma, one of the cities in Italy. – TradeArabia News Service
