Juma Al Majid Group launches new hospitality division

DUBAI, September 16, 2015

Juma Al Majid Group, a Dubai-based family-owned conglomerate, has inaugurated its new division, Jood Hospitality.

The move marks its entry into the hospitality space and the company will now manage Jood Palace Hotel- Dubai, formerly Taj Palace Hotel.

Already a leader and pioneer across various industry sectors including automotive and construction, the conglomerate has owned the property since it opened 14 years ago. The handover from TAJ Hotels Resorts and Palaces to Jood Hospitality is the first step in the company's expansion into the hospitality sector.

Speaking on behalf of Jood Hospitality, Ziad Shahrouri, a senior executive officer at Juma Al Majid Group, said: "Cognizant of the UAE's stance as the established hospitality hub of the Gulf region, Juma Al Majid Group's independent entry into the sector is with a distinct value, and a new dimension of hospitality. Jood Hospitality and Jood Palace Hotel are geared to be reflective of the doctrines of Juma Al Majid and vice-chairman Khalid Juma Al Majid, which remain firmly fixed to an intrinsic ideal: to uphold the honour of true hospitality."

Jood Palace Hotel- Dubai has been fully repurposed and has not made any changes to its operational staff. Launched in 2001, the property boasts 147 rooms, 12 suites, and 90 serviced apartments, as well as a selection of F&B outlets and a wide variety of meeting and convention facilities. – TradeArabia News Service
