New tourist train to run between Iran and Austria
Iran, Austria sign new tourist train deal
IRAN, September 13, 2015
A new tourist train will soon run between Iran and Austria following the recent signing of an agreement with an Austrian firm, said a report.
The Shokooh Pars Tourism Train is aimed to encourage tourism train trips by the Iranians, the country’s television network, Press TV, reported.
The deal is a further sign of the growing economic relations between Iran and Austria. It also comes on the heels of a landmark visit to Tehran by the Austrian President Heinz Fischer.
Iran is a lucrative tourist market for Europe as more companies move forward to promote travel to the Middle Eastern country including The Golden Eagle Luxury Trains, a UK-based train travel company, which has managed to launch three tourism train tours to Iran since 2014.
