The elderly at the UCO centre receive breakfast boxes from Mövenpick

Mövenpick Bahrain celebrates International Day of Charity

MANAMA, September 8, 2015

Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain recently celebrated the United Nations International Day of Charity with a healthy, fun morning event at the UCO Elderly Centre in Muharraq.

The charitable initiative included a tasty and healthy breakfast box with fresh delectable treats, such as sandwiches, grapes, yoghurts and Mövenpick’s healthy home-made juices. Before breakfast, a team from Rimal Spa demonstrated a selection of relaxing stretching exercises for both women and men, to help improve the health of the elderly.

Daniel Kaan, hotel general manager, said: “Part of our social responsibility is giving back to the community. Throughout the year we support several organisations in our own neighbourhoods. It is fantastic to see how such efforts can make a big impact in the daily lives of the young and old.”

The event was in line with the values of Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, under the flag of “Shine” programme, a global sustainability programme aimed at supporting and giving back to the local communities where the hotels operate, the group said in statement. – TradeArabia News Service
