Ooredoo launches services at new Salalah Airport

SALALAH, July 1, 2015

Global telecommunications provider Ooredoo has successfully launched its network services throughout the new Salalah International Airport in Oman.

In addition to being the first telecom operator to provide coverage across the entire airport, Ooredoo ensured that it greeted arriving passengers with its recently relocated kiosk on the airport grounds, offering new and existing customers a wide array of products and services in the vibrant Ooredoo brand style.

A key partner in this national project, Ooredoo led the network solutions plan for the newly constructed airport terminal, providing indoor and outdoor coverage by implementing state-of-the-art technology and ensuring operations are at full capacity.

The team also spearheaded one of the most advanced radio coverage solutions in the market, which was designed to support any future technological expansion plans.

“The new terminal was strategically completed ahead of the Salalah Tourism Festival to cater to the continuously increasing number of visitors to the picturesque city during the summer months. We are also fully prepared for the influx and look forward to offering our customers the best communications experience as they enjoy their holiday and share moments with their friends and family,” said Sultan Al- Wahaibi, director of Implementation and Infrastructure.

With more than 2 million passengers expected to pass through Salalah International Airport’s doors every year, Ooredoo will be offering its full range of products and added-value services at its stand-alone kiosk including special seasonal promotions and opportunities to win great prizes. – TradeArabia News Service
